How to avoid getting held to ransom by your clients
I have an admission to make.
Many of the ideas and strategies I share I have struggled with (and sometimes still do) myself.
One of the biggest ones is creating regular content even what you are busy delivering a great service to existing clients
But here’s what I have recently realised (interestingly enough when I was sitting with a client helping her come up with content for her business)
If you can regularly pump out good content through your social media channels and to your data base, you avoid ever being in a situation where your clients can hold you to ransom.
What do I mean by that?
Well, if you are continually doing something every day to get a new client, your efforts are cumulative.
The seeds you plant today will bear the fruit that you will pick in 60 – 90 days time.
Any time you find yourself on a run, ask yourself this…
What was I doing prospecting wise 60 – 90 days ago that has resulted in me getting busy now?
Chances are it was the calls, the emails and the marketing content you were sending out that has caused the enquiry and now the sales for this month.
But here’s the most important thing (s)
It helps you avoid the situation where your existing clients can hold you to ransom
It avoids the situation where you have to hold onto working with a client that isn’t the right fit
It avoids the situation where you are in a situation where you have to accept a client that a part of you knows isn’t right
Last thing you want is to be in that situation and making sure you are marketing even when you are busy will help you avoid that.
It’s like drinking water BEFORE you get thirsty because as soon as you feel thirsty – guess what ? you’re already dehydrated
So here’s a question for you…
What are you doing DAILY to attract a new client – what calls are you making, what are you writing, shooting, recording or filming to make it easy for clients to find you.
