Or more importantly how can I keep them
It happened again today…
In fact it’s happened everyday this week.
I’ve been chatting to retailers this week about our Retail Sales Master Class (coming up on the 23rd May ) and they’re all crying out desperately for more staff.
And i’ve got nothing! Actually I feel kind of bad that I can’t be of more help, I’ve even considered opening up a recruitment business…
hmm… maybe later.
I can offer you 2 things that will help though…
What we know is, one of the best ways to keep good staff is to train them. This might sound a bit self serving but there’s heaps research to back this up. 🙂
When you train your team, they feel valued because you’ve invest in them… And they reciprocate by staying with you for longer and treating your clients well. (research shows they are 4 times more likely to stay if you train them)
Stands to reason eh?
So if you’re thinking a bit of “prevention for retention” might be in order we still have spots left for the 23rd May Retail Sales Master Class
Either call me today on 0418 699 332 or fill out the contact us form and I will get back to you. Type “send rego form and more info” then send and i’ll make sure we dial you in.
The $200 off voucher is still available plus the $247 worth of Free training gifts when you register.
If you’re keen you’ll want to get onto it ASAP, as we’re starting to fill up.
Looking forward to hear from you soon.
The other idea to get the best people is to keep business cards with you. If you’re in a cafe or another retail business and someone impresses you give them a card and say “hey, if any of your friends would be keen to work at “your business” please ask them to give me a call.
The whole idea is “birds of a feather flock together” so you might attract some good staff and you won’t pay through the nose for a recruitment agency.
Even though legally you can “poach” people, this way is cool because no one can accuse you of it.
9 times out of 10 though, that person will call you for a job.
Hope this helps!
