Today we are going to talk about 11 things that motivate people. These are the things that really make people take the next step and make decisions.
First, there is a number of reasons why people make decisions, but today I have a list in front of me that I want to go through with you. It really kind of covers almost anything that you could potentially want to sell in terms of people’s motivation.
Let me give you some of the things this list covers:
The first one is a very common thing, in general, people aren’t as satisfied as they could be. People are always looking for the next thing, the next best thing, how can they take things to the next level.
In fact, I think the split is about 70/30. About 30% of people are moving toward a better day while 70% of people are making decisions to avoid something that they’re trying to escape from.
Let’s talk about another important thing. Most people only have a moderate amount of self-esteem. It is very hard for some people to accept and take ownership of who they are, and there is most definitely some motivation in there for businesses to work with.
For instance, 2/3 of women and 1/3 of men don’t like the way they look. So, if you’re selling some sort of weight loss thing or gym memberships that’s a very important thing to keep in mind.
The fourth thing that motivates people to make decisions is that nearly everyone worries and has a deep-seated fear of rejection. Anything they can do to avoid being rejected by others is another profitable business model.
